Dahn Dahn Moo Do is a spiritual, mental, and physical exercised martial arts by the ancient enlighten people in Korea. Comparing with other martial arts, Dahn Moo Do is not a training which simply aims to build up physical muscle power, and techniques, but a self disciplined and a self-defensive exercise of mind and body based on the principle of "Ki". Ki is a Korean version of naming life energy, often called "Chi" in China or "Prana" in India. Dahn Moo Do teaches you how to save, circulate, and utilize this "Ki" according to the principle of "Sam-Won-Sun-Whan" (the rule of three circle circulation) and "Pal-Gae-Jun-Whan" (rule of eight trigram transposition). The Meaning of Dahn The origin of Dahn Moo Do is referred back to almost 10 thousand years ago. The very forefather of Han Nation, "Han-In- Chun-Jae", is narrated as the first enlightened person of the whole humankind. According to the principle of "Chun-Bu-Kyung" a history book of the ancient Korea, his teachings of enlightenment had been transferred to "Han-Whong-Chun-Hwang" who founded a holy city called "Bae Dal" nation on the Phak Do mountain, the highest one in Korea. At the time of the 5th forefather of Han nation "Dahn-Gune-Whang-Gum", Dahn Moo Do principles were widely spread to everybody in the holy city. |
