Philosophy Of Oriental Martial Arts

Master Park True Martial Arts Training ...Hapkido &... Truth, Faith, Integrity, Trust, Achieving high standard of life goal. Hapkido is one of the Best and Oldest Ancient Oriental Martial Arts which originated from Korea.

Hapkido involves mental and physical development as a way of life. Hapkido offers a tremendous variety of physical and mental training programs such as throwing, strangleholds, joint locks, grappling and pinning, as well as punches, kicks and blocks. It is the most effective method of self-defense.

To improve strength, power, balance, flexibility, coordination, speed, quickness, agility and body toning, as well as relaxation, concentration, relieving stress, focusing, discipline, self-confidence, respect,.... it also includes unique Hapkido forms, Danjun-hohup, relaxation and concentration, and breathing training.

It is in the sphere of the internal dynamics of Hapkido that the principle of KI and the indivisibility of the um-yang express themselves as the basis of power. It is within these internal dynamics that we discover the feeling of hard/soft, strong/weak, linear/circular, fast/slow, and the oscillation between tension and relaxation. Advanced students study more mental disciplines.

Recently, more people are asking me about Hapkido training. They do not understand all about the Hapkido training, but they like different kinds of techniques, which they cannot find, from any other martial arts. There are a few Hapkido masters in the world, because of the hard training, unlike Karate or Taekwondo, which can be imitated within a short period of training. Nevertheless, many people try to teach Hapkido without the proper training.

Hapkido, like Judo and other certain martial arts training, without the proper training and experience under a good master, could be unsafe. I know some people with very little training that claim to be instructors in Hapkido and other styles of martial arts.

Watching Steven Segal movies cannot improve Hapkido practice, because Steven Segal is not trained in Hapkido.

For example, yesterday, one person came to join our program and he told me that he had two years of Judo training. He said his instructor trained from videos in his home, with a couple of other people. I asked him to show me some very basic moves: he didn't know anything.
